Canadian State Trials

Titles in this series explore the Canadian state’s legal responses to real or perceived threats to national security throughout the nineteenth and twentieth centuries, and the social challenges that have resulted. Topics range from regional insurrections and their political aftermath, to shifting definitions of treason, to debates around the passage of emergency legislation and executive orders suspending civil rights during periods of unrest.
