Natalie Fingerhut and Len Husband attended the American Historical Association meeting in Washington, DC from January 2-5, 2014.
Siobhan McMenemy and Suzanne Rancourt attended the Modern Language Association meeting in Chicago, IL from January 9-12, 2014.
Feisal G. Mohamed and Mary Nyquist were awarded the Irene Samuel Award by the Milton Society of America for their book Milton and Questions of History: Essays by Canadians Past and Present.
To launch their anthology Remembering Mass Violence: Oral History, New Media and Performance, co-editors Steven High, Edward Little and Thi Ry Duong hosted a multimedia event at Concordia University on January 9th.
The Canadian Studies Department at University of Toronto hosted a reception for such authors as George Elliot Clarke, Aaron Moore, Edward Shorter, and countless others who have recently published books with UTP, on Wednesday, January 24th.
On Sunday, January 26th, David Pike gave a short talk based on his book Canadian Cinema Since The 1980s at the TIFF Bell Lightbox, immediately before a screening of Quebec Director Jean-Claude Lauzon’s autobiographical film, Leolo.
