Receive alerts as new issues become available online

Early access to the latest issues. Did you know that most online issues are available to subscribers up to four weeks in advance of the print version? Sign up for email alerts and you will know as soon as the latest issue is ready for you to read.

HOW DO I READ TOCS, ABSTRACTS, AND ARTICLES?

Once you have logged in to the appropriate journal site, you will see a list of all the issues that are currently available. Each issue is organized into “folders” named for their volume and issue number.

What is “Ahead of Print”?

Ahead of Print contains articles that are published online before becoming available in print issues. Articles published online ahead of the printed issue publication have become a staple in many fields where new research is being published at a fast rate. To meet the challenges of the current academic publishing world, articles accepted for publication can now be copyedited, typeset, and posted online immediately through UTP Journals Ahead of Print.

To access individual articles, simply click on one of the folders. This will display the Table of Contents for the respective issue.

Full text is available in PDF and HTML.

Search results can be organized, filtered, and displayed by summaries, dimensional navigation, abstracts, citation or tabular results, or search within results. All search functions are easily accessed via the right side search bar. Simply enter your search text or click on “advanced search” for advanced options.

Search refinements

The various categories in the right panel of results pages are filters. You can select filters, such as author name or keyword, to further focus your search results to find exactly the content you need. Using filters is a great way to find relations among content and stumble upon research that you did not know existed.

You can save issues and/or articles by clicking the “add to favorites” link in the right navigation panel of an article page. This function allows you to save, label, and organize items as you are browsing for easy access at a later time.

Print/Save full articles or individual pages

To save a full article, click the download icon at the top right of the screen and a “save as” box will appear and you can save the article PDF to your computer. You can print pages from the article using the print functionality in Adobe Reader.

How do I export citations?

In the right navigation panel of any article page, you will find Article Tools available. Simply click on “Send to Citation Mgr” and follow the instructions to export citations of interest. This is a simple feature that allows you to export the citation in various formats, including in RIS, which is the format most citation managers use, so that you can keep a copy of the citation for your research.

Share article/issue links via email and social media such as Facebook, Twitter, LinkedIn, Pinterest, etc. by using the Bookmark and Share links found in the right navigation panel.

You can recommend issues and/or articles by clicking the “Email to a friend” link in the Article Tools in the right navigation panel. This function allows you to send the article information to an email recipient.
